Employment Type Full-Time

  • Career development opportunity leading a team passionate about animal and client care
  • Keen to become part of a growing veterinary practice with 11 clinics across South Auckland North Waikato, Coromandel and Hauraki Plains?
  • Make your mark working in a well-established clinic with supportive and loyal clients

We are looking for a Branch Manager/Veterinarian to lead our veterinary and support team in the seaside settlement of Waihi.

About the Role

With accountability for the operational management of the clinic, and for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the mixed practice veterinary team, this is a great opportunity for a veterinarian with at least three years experience to develop their management career, in addition to working as a vet.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll be leading a strong, engaged team of veterinarians, customer services, nurses and techs and will enjoy a busy clinic with great facilities, that creates value for our clients and provides a very high standard of medical and surgical care.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and positive veterinarian, with great communication skills, and the confidence to lead a team, and develop and grow client relationships and sales across the region. While a mixed vet with the skills to take on a varied and diverse caseload would be ideal, there is the ability to tailor this role to suit individual interests.  If companion animal work is your preference, we can adjust the roster to ensure you spend the majority of your time focusing on this alongside your operational responsibilities, or vice versa on the large animal side.

About the Clinic

The Waihi clinic is a fantastic facility with great equipment, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, In-house Idexx Procyte CBC, UA & Biochem machines, Ezyvet and Infovet, servicing both companion animal and farm clients. Our farm clients offer a real mix with a variety of small to medium sized dairy operations, alongside smaller amounts of dairy grazing, lifestyle, and sheep and beef.  The team work closely with our surrounding clinics (Paeroa, Kopu, Waitakaruru).
